How to get to the Congress?
The EMAS Congress 2021 takes place 8 – 10 September 2021 at Firenze Fiera at the Fortezza da Basso.
Arriving by Train
Firenze Santa Maria Novella is the main station in Florence and is located in the city centre. It is a major transport hub on the Milan-Naples line and well connected to major Italian cities by high-speed train.

Arriving by Plane
AMERIGO VESPUCCI AIRPORT – FLORENCE
Florence Airport is only 5 km from the city centre and is well-connected to various European hubs.
Visitors can reach the city centre from the airport in just 15 minutes using the newly-built tramway for only €1,50.

GALILEO GALILEI AIRPORT – PISA
Pisa Airport is localed about 1 km from the Pisa Centrale railway station and is connected by the People Mover shuttle bus. Florence is about 1 hour away by train.

Arriving by Car
Florence is centrally located along the major north-south motorways.
From A1-highway take the “Firenze Sud” or the “Firenze Nord” exit depending on your travel itinerary, then follow the signs for “Centro”. Paid parking is available around the Congress area.

Arriving by Public Transportation
The T2 – Vespucci tramline connects the airport to the city centre in just 15 minutes and runs every 4 minutes and 20 seconds during peak hours with 12 stops and only costs €1,50 per ride.
The T1 – Leonardo which extends for 11.5 km and has 26 stops starts from the motorway parking lot at “Villa Costanza”in Scandicci, and ends at “Careggi – Ospedale”.
